About Geezers Gone Wild

Born in Borger, Texas, into a musical family, Jackson Haney, affectionately known as Jackie during his upbringing, was immersed in a love for music from a young age. His father, Jack Haney, a talented guitarist who occasionally played with “Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys,” and his mother, Dora, who sometimes joined in as a drummer, fostered a musical environment where impromptu jam sessions were the norm. At the age of 8, Jackie received his first guitar, initially showing little interest but later discovering his lifelong passion for music at the age of 11. Tragedy struck when his father passed away in 1966, making Jackie the family’s breadwinner, leading him to form bands like “Jackie Haney & The Wild Mustangs” and “The Young Four” with his younger brother, Dickie. Jackie’s musical journey continued, from “The Rockin Mods” to “The Click,” and later, “Texas,” with notable connections and experiences along the way. Ultimately, he embarked on a successful solo career as Jackson Haney, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the world of music.
